1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Macrotome (the "Service"), operated as a personal project ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Macrotome is a dashboard that aggregates publicly available macroeconomic data, central bank information, news, positioning data (such as CFTC Commitments of Traders), retail sentiment data, and AI-generated market commentary. The Service is intended to help users research and understand macroeconomic and foreign exchange (FX) market conditions.
3. Not Financial Advice
All content provided through Macrotome — including but not limited to currency bias indicators, central bank hawkish/dovish scores, daily and weekly reports, sentiment data, and any AI-generated commentary — is provided strictly for informational and educational purposes.
This content does not constitute, and should not be construed as: (a) an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any financial instrument; (b) personalized investment advice; (c) a recommendation regarding any specific trading strategy or position; or (d) a guarantee of any market outcome.
Trading foreign exchange and other financial instruments carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. You should seek advice from an independent, appropriately licensed financial adviser before making any investment decision. Past performance and historical data shown on this Service are not indicative of future results.
4. Data Accuracy
We make reasonable efforts to ensure data displayed on Macrotome is accurate and current, but data is sourced from third parties (including but not limited to central bank publications, CFTC, news RSS feeds, and AI processing) and may contain errors, delays, or omissions. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
5. Subscription & Billing
Certain features of the Service may require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (e.g. monthly) via our third-party payment processor (Stripe). By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your chosen payment method until you cancel.
You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
6. Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period. At the end of the trial, unless you cancel beforehand, your account may automatically convert to a paid subscription and your payment method will be charged.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service for resale or redistribution; (b) use automated means to access the Service beyond normal browser/API use; (c) share your account credentials with third parties; (d) use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and underlying technology of Macrotome are the property of Macrotome unless otherwise noted. Third-party data (news, central bank publications, CFTC data) remains the property of its respective owners and is used under fair use / publicly available licensing terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Macrotome and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, trading losses, or data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms, without prior notice.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws applicable in your jurisdiction of residence.
